The feature film Jackie is shooting in and around western New Mexico, state Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced Tuesday in a news release.
The film tells the story of Dutch twin sisters who travel to America looking for their long lost mother, played by Holly Hunter. Carice van Houten and Jelka van Houten are cast in the roles of the sisters, and Antoinette Beumer is the director, according to the news release.
The production will continue through December and will employ at least 70 New Mexico crew members and more than 150 principal and background talent, the news release said.
The news release said the film is produced by Hans de Weers, Reinout Oerlemans and Erwin Godschalk of Dutch company Eyeworks Film and Television Drama B.V.
